Hey EvenFall! Happy Monday! Let's talk about barriers. Most of us set barriers in the form of moral standards. Even I have standards. However, they are much lower than the typical person. Most of us have beauty standards. Where we HAVE to look good. I reject this. We shouldn't be judging ourselves based on physical vanity. The second main challenge is weight gain or loss. Again, I reject this. The barriers we set up against each other prevent us from coming together to form a bond. Even in the Bible, before Jesus came around, people always rejected each other and judged one another for the sake of looking good. Concerning the dream I had last night. I was on an island where it was snowy. I was attending class where the teachers where imposing harsh study classes. So, the students revolted and the teachers couldn't control them. The students gave an ultimatum of not being so stressful so the students can learn at a pace they felt would make the classes better. This, to me, was an example of a moral barrier. Let's take today's inspiration from Saint Paul. Upon getting to Rome from traveling to Jerusalem, he felt like he did enough traveling for the rest of his life. He proceeded to write letters to various cities in Asia, praising them for how they studied God's word and to keep studying God's work. He even wrote to famous people asking for help. Please. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes, we have to let down our barriers to accept this help. Even if we take a hit to our pride. Thanks for reading!
