Attention

Writer: RavenRaven

Hey EvenFall! Happy Saturday! Let's talk about attention. Attention is something we all crave and seek. It's our main source of currency. Without attention we have nothing. Naturally, humans as well as plants and animals all communicate in some way shape or form. With most animals, it's echolocation. When a bird chirps it sends out a vibration and for where each vibration stops it knows that's a solid object. With dolphins, it's the frequency of its squeals for how it can manipulate the environment around it. However, humans have a way of directing attention through the use of words and how quiet or loud we are. If I wanted to command the room I would shout. The thing with attention like with everything else is how addicting it can be. The moment we get attention we seek more of it. And more of it. AND MORE OF IT. To the point that's all that drives us. We have to humble ourselves. Take a step back. Assess just how serious this addiction is. I don't seek attention. I give it. Most times people want advice, however I just sit there and listen to how that person has problems that day. So that when they leave me alone I won't be drained. Let's take today's inspiration from Chronicles. Chronicles is a summary of the Bible up to that point. How Noah made the ark. Moses wrote the commandments. David saving Jerusalem. King Solomon introducing paganism and Babylon laying siege on Jerusalem. The reason why Chronicles was written was so those who were trying to learn God's word can easily digest what was written up to that point. It's important to learn history so we don't repeat the acts of those that came before us. That way, we can grow more positively. Attention by way of paganism is how the children of Israel were taken. I judge no one, however God judges us. Just because you might do it in private doesn't mean He won't notice. If you worship others, I suggest stopping. Thanks for reading!
